Mussels Marinière Trudeau Style


This recipe, with no doubt, will be pleasant for everyone. A beautiful maritime experience to be enjoyed with all the family.

  • Yields: 4 servings

Ingredients

8 dozen fresh mussels

250 ml white wine

1 clamshell Trudeau fresh Dill

2 french shallots

1 /2 clamshell fresh Thyme Trudeau

15 ml olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

1) Wash mussels in cold water. Discard any that remain open after being immersed in cold water to avoid contaminating the recipe.

2) In a saucepan, heat olive oil. Sauté French shallots. Add wine and bring to a boil. Add mussels, fresh thyme, fresh dill. Cover and cook for about 5 minutes or until mussels open. Shake saucepan back and forth from time to time.

3) Using a slotted spoon, remove mussels from saucepan and keep warm. Season cooking juices with salt and pepper. Set aside

4) Put mussels in serving bowls. Pour cooking juices over mussels.

5) Serve.
